With this project, we started with the great room ceiling. Frankly, it is unusual to have a ceiling as a starting point for a home remodel. Our design team created a soffit in the great room with 4 wood panels in the center which have dimmed light for various functions in the room. The photos feature the construction of this build out.
Photos also show the second focal point of the great room which highlights the wall unit surrounding the existing fireplace. There is a sense of composition with the new ceiling and the wall unit design.
